Hi! I have always loved names like Amber and Sapphire so I have been looking through books about crystals and noting ones I thought would make pretty names. It's way easier to find ones for girls than ones that suit boys though! If anyone has any suggestions for minerals or crystals that make good boys names please comment. :)

Avalon


I'm not a huge fan of Ava, but I really like Avalon. I also like the name Avonlea, but dropped it from my list due to the fact that I am an Avon representative, and having "Avon" in a baby name is too weird to me. :-)

There’s an ‘interesting names’ section in one of my Nan’s woman’s interest magazines that I like to read. It’s generally people writing in to say what strange names their grandchildren have, although they’re rarely room stopping. Then I came across this little gem:

we were leafing through the dictionary looking for an unusal name for our little girl, when we came across an entry that read ‘out of this world’. That’s what she is, and that’s what we called her

Yeah… they named their kid Alien.
