I work at a retail store, and yesterday a woman in my line kept saying, "Peyton, can you run back and get me another one of these? Peyton this. Peyton that." So finally I see Peyton, and it's a little GIRL. So casually I'm like, "Peyton, how do you spell that?"

Paiton.

I really didn't even like that name to begin with.

Also, the Hayden/Jayden/Brayden trend is hitting the American bases here hard, and I saw one of these victims yesterday (Hayden). He was probably 7, and the thing was, he looks like he'll probably grow up to play guitar and think he's tough and wear hxc t-shirts and paint his nails black (he just had this look), and he'll have the name Hayden. It doesn't seem right to me. Then again, what stereotypical teen would any of those names work on?

My husband and I have decided on Aislin or Caitlin.

Aislin Rain now sounds flat to me.
Aislin has been a favorite name of mine forever, i used to name all my teddy bears Aislin, I named most of my WoW characters Aislin. But I cannot think of a middle name.

Caitlin Rain I love, except that Katelyn is the number 6th most popular name (or very close to that number)

Im worried about my child going to school with tons of other girls with the same name, especially when there's is the same spelling and hers is different, well I don't know if that would make things better or worse

Anything?

What do you think of the name Lleyton?

"Lleyton Hewitt" (tennis player) sounds good. But on its own? Not so much.

So I'm off to summer camp (in Australia) tomorrow for a week.

I've just finished assigning kids to cabins, and once again we have a bunch of kids with pretty common, normal names.

This is the first camp I have done in 5 years where none of the girls have brothers at camp, and vice versa!

Girls - aged 8-13 (youngest to oldest) - symbols indicate sisters
Mia #
Stephanie
Kaylah *
Tia &
Korina
Emma !
Sarah
Mikaeli #
Mia
Allison *
Rachele &
Taylah
Nerida !

Boys - aged 8-14 (youngest to oldest) - symbols indicate brothers
Braylin @
Daniel ^
Scott
Tom $
Liam %
Tim
Jacob
Jackson @
Oliver (Oli) %
Harrison (Harry)
Justin
Alex ^
James
Sam
Christopher (Chris)
Lyndon
Zac $

Overall thats a pretty good mix - one camp I did we had 3 Tim's in 1 cabin (all 4th grade boys) and another year we had a cabin with 3 Michelles, a Rachelle and a Shelley!! Oh, and don't get me started on the year we had 3 Laurens and 4 Lauras!

If you could name a boy and a girl right now, what would you name them? (If it was just you naming and your partner didn't have to agree)

I would name my children "Parker" for a boy and "Gabriella" for a girl.

With two months to go I am starting to second guess the boy name we have picked out should the baby be a boy. Sooo we are looking at our other contenders as well and rearranging names. One name, Leo, is escaping me. I need your help in finding the perfect Leo combination, so what do you suggest? Italian or French names are preferred but not required. =D
