Where I work, there are twins named:
James and Amberlee

W/d/y/t of the name Amberlee?

To me it sounds like 2 names put together. One of my close friends' name is Amber Leigh [first & middle].

It just reminds me of an adverb.

Suzie walked amberly down the lane.

I have a friend named Amber and she used it as a nickname...

I definitely don't think it sounds good for a real name.

Im not a big fan of Amber, Ive tried and failed!

If it was Amberly, I think it would be adorable sounding, but these "ee" names tacked on to other names (Makes me think of CariDee) arent rubbing me the right way

I don't like it at all. Amber is really terrible and 80s to me, and Amberlee is just terrible. Why does the boy always get the good name?

I want to hate it, but somehow I just can't.

I don't like it, but I knew a girl in college with that name.

It sounds like a horrible smash of Amber & Kimberly (neither of which I happen to like anyways). I do always think of the ditzy connotations as well and I so agree with the person that said it's like an adverb. lol

I've seen Amberly before, and I like it better than Amberlee, but at least Amberlee looks like a name while Amberly does like more of a word than a name.

I had a best friend growing up named Amberly. I really like the name.

I think "ugh."

It bugs me when people give their sons nice strong traditional names and then make something up for the girls. It's like they didn't take the girl seriously.

It's definitely the sort of name I'd rather not think about.
