I'm helping my sister think of names for her child who's due date is July 15. Anyway, it is really important to her that she use names from our family or her husbands at least for middle names. The only thing is we dont know if it will be a girl or boy- she wants it to be a surprise.
For a girl they have decided for sure on the first name Samantha.
Possible middle names:
Marie- Our mother
Mary, Geraldine- our grandmothers
Caroline, Gail, Judith, Lara, Diana- our aunts
Lucy- her husbands mother
Danielle- her husbands grandmother

For boys they havnt decided on even a first name:
Phillip- dad and cousin
Edward- Grandfather
Joe, Michael, David, Paul, Donald, and Frank- our uncles
Richard- her husbands father
William- her husbands grandfather
Jack (my personal favorite) is our cousin.

I think if they use any of the boys names it should be Jack. For girls I like Lucy and even though it isn't one of their favorites I said Ella. Its the name of a terrible woman who used to be married to my uncle Joe. But I still like the name. I DETESTE Geraldine.

Okay, then--I guess it's out-with-my-current-top-5 time. I can't wait to read "out there" x 1000000. If you have questions about pronunciation, ask. I'm going to assume that most of you are familiar with most of these names.

(You know, I don't really like boys' names in general. There are few that I like, even fewer that I love.)

Boys-

Henry (family name combo Louis-Henry)
George
Lachlan
Declan
Angus

Girls

Afton (combo Afton Camille)
Nimue
Deladis
Branwen
Linnea

Feel free to try out combos; I'm always looking for good ones.

I am NOT asking for opinions on this name.

I AM asking for you to list off everyone you know (or know of, please specify) with this name, and give their (approximate) age:

Adrienne

I'm only 20 and not even thinking about marriage/kids all that yet, but I wondered what people thought of the following names. Some of them I picked out years ago and some are 'new'. But they all have their own stories behind them, they're not just names I like, they're meaningful.

Girls:

Marian Rose
Gwendolyn Elizabeth (Gwen)
Vienna Rose
Ella Estrella-Luz
Hadyn Iris
Antoinette Lyn (Toni)
Paisley Elizabeth

Boys:

Joaquin Turner
Major Raphael
Dillon Gabriel
Andrew Michael

I found this the other day, and thought some of you might be interested. It tells you a brief history of your surname and shows your family crest. It passes the time when you're bored...lol
