Beth - Love it, and would use it if I didn't think she'd keep getting asked what it was short for!
Betha - Don't like
Bethan - LOVE!
Bethania - Like the sound of it
Bethany - Like, but a bit boring, haha
Bethari - Don't like. Sounds too made up
Bethesda - Don't like
Bethwyn - Actually quite like

I only like Beth and Bethany. The rest look like they're trying too hard to be unique.

I'm actually a Bethany who goes by Beth. Bethany has grown on me over the years, but it seems really baby-ish to me and not at all professional or grown-up, and Beth seems really plain to me.

I've seen Bethan before, and I don't know how to pronounce it, but as a Bethany it looks really incomplete without the 'y'; similarly, with Betha, it looks like a typo. Bethari and Bethwyn look rather made up to me, and Bethesda makes me think of the city/town in Maryland outside of DC. Bethania is pretty cool; I'm pretty sure it's the Spanish form of Bethany, so I'd guess it would be pronounced beh-TAHN-ya.

Beth is the name that I go by. My first name is Terese, but I was named after someone so my parents have always just called me Beth (short for Elisabeth, my middle name). I get kind tired of having to explain myself so often, but I can deal with it because I haven't met many that share it! And it really is a fun name.

I like Beth as a first name, but the problem is finding a middle name that works with it. :)

I only really like Beth and Bethany. I think the others look like someone's either trying too hard to make up unique names, or they've forgotten a few letters on names.

Also - a common name, that I'm not sure I'm too terribly fond of - that Beth is often paired with...is Ann. Or Anne. Beth Ann or Beth Anne. I'm not so sure I'm partial to it.

hey yea!! if you want to call her beth you can name her Elizabeth and it'll be easier to find a middle name.

I don't like any of them except Beth.

Heh, Bethesda is my town.

I don't like the letter B at all.

Bethesda is the name of a city here in Maryland, and it's not a flattering name for anybody.

Actually, Bethany is the only worthwhile name for a little girl from this list, and even then it's not one I find pretty. Sorry. :(

I like Bethany.

Beth-its okay, boring too me
Betha-eh
Bethan- Should be Beth Ann

I really dont like any of them except i LOVE Bethany. HATE Bethesda. Made me think of bethesda mission, i dont know if its a national thing but in my area that is a poor and homeless mission, shelter and soup kitchen.

Beth is a cute old-school name and I've always liked Bethany, although it means "poor".

But I don't like the rest of them.

Beth - I have a friend whose name is Beth. Not short for anything, just Beth. She hates being asked if she's actually Elizabeth or what, but I think it's lovely by itself.

Betha - Seems abbreviated.

Bethan - Same as above.

Bethania - Just seems odd to me.

Bethany - Very nice.

Bethari - I like the sound of it, but not the spelling.

Bethesda - Only the name of a city to me. I can't remember why I've heard the town in Maryland mentioned so much. I think it's used on "The X-Files" a lot," like maybe they're often at that hospital. Anyway, yeah. Doesn't work as a person's name to me.

Bethwyn - Interesting, but not my kinda name.
