An inspired question...

I read an article on cnn earlier about an Iraqi boy with cerebal palsey who was adopted by a US soldier. I won't lie, it made me cry. The little boy was found in the streets when he was a toddler and picked his own name- Ala'a, which means near to God. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/12/23/iraqi.orphan.ap/index.html

So my random question is this: if you had to pick your own name, what would it be?

Well, if I picked this name when I was younger, I would've been Taran. I always pretended like my name was Taran when I was younger and I don't know why. I never knew anyone with that name and I have no clue where I found out about it. If I were to name myself now, I'd probably pick a unisex name. My current name (Lindsey) is unisex and I really like that. Maybe Taylor, but I don't think I really look or seem like a Taylor. Maybe Madden...I just like that name. =)

Hm...when I was younger and I'd play house or something I'd always pick my name to be Alexis. I'd probably still pick that even though it's not on my favorite names list.

Blair. It's one of my middle names and it was almost my first name, but my mom chickened out on giving me a unisex name. I love it so much.

My name is Laurah. Depending on when I'd been able to pick it, I liked Sally (???) and Lara and a bunch of variations on that when I was little...

If I had no name right now, I'd name myself Nadia, I think. I like the letter N for some reason.

When I was younger I wanted to be named Molly.
but now I love my name too much. I wouldn't change it.
