babynamesWhat do you think of these first and middle names for girls, and can you think of any better combinations?
Lily Annabel
Amelia Skye
Lydia Hazel
India Sophie
Kaitlin Ruth
Jasmine Aurora
Lily is my Grandma’s maiden name, and also the last name of her sister who died a couple of years ago (she was unmarried and had no children so she was more like a second grandmother). Annabel is my Mum’s middle name, and my own middle name. Hazel is the name of my great aunt who passed away earlier this year, she was married but had no children, so we were the closest she had to grandchildren. Sophie is the name of my closest female friend who has just always been there for me. And Jasmine (not that this is exactly sentimental significance!) is the name of my bear that I was given when I was born! The other’s are just names that I like.
I find boys names so much more difficult. What do you think of these combinations?

Winter is the name I gave the baby I miscarried, so that would be in honour of him. Justin is the name of my best friend/soul mate/partner (he is names after his Mum’s best friend). But other than those two, no significance other than I like the names.

Date: 2005-12-03 03:54 pm (UTC)Like with Annabel, Lily and Hazel, it is not a case of naming someone after another person. I like the names already, and the fact that they carry such significance is just something that makes them a bit special. I love the name Winter, but it would not be used in a sence that I was naming a child after my lost baby.
Oh, and I don't really like Sophie as a first name.
But apart from that you like the names which are currently my favourite :)
