I met two sixteen year old girls yesterday who were friends.

Their names...

Gloria and Molly


it got me thinking. Which is better...to have a name that many people consider to sound old (like Gloria) or to have a name that many people thing sounds young (like Molly)

I prefer older sounding names, but in this example I prefer Molly over Gloria.
