I met two sixteen year old girls yesterday who were friends.

Their names...

Gloria and Molly


it got me thinking. Which is better...to have a name that many people consider to sound old (like Gloria) or to have a name that many people thing sounds young (like Molly)

Gloria is a bad name in my family (i cannot even speak the name around my mother) so to me Gloria is a horrible horrible name. I'm not a fan of Molly either but in this instance Molly all the way.

I think the best thing to do is to find an oldish sounding name with a young nickname so the person can chose what they go by as they get older!!
