Looking for opinions
Dec. 2nd, 2007 05:35 pmBrena (Bren-ah) Lillian? My ultrasound is tomorrow, not sure if either are female yet but I'm enjoying playing with female names.
Her full name would be Brena Lillian Dealy (pronounced Daily)
Opinions/suggestions appreciated. :)

Date: 2007-12-02 11:18 pm (UTC)I don't like Brena. It sounds halfway between Brenda (which brings to mind a 60-year-old dumpy sorta lady) and Brianna (I've known a few; they've all been unpleasant people, so I don't like the name).
I don't like Br- names in general. Maybe Bridget, I sort of like.
Lillian Bridget is my remaking of your name.

Date: 2007-12-03 12:21 am (UTC)As you've spelled it, it looks like BREE-nah DEE-ly. Obviously, you're not going to change the spelling of the last name just for convenience, but why spell the first name in a way that will also often need correcting?
Also, I believe you posted before that it was after a song, and it turned out it was pronounced BREN-ya in the song--don't spell it the same if you're not going to pronounce it the same.
That said, it's a beautiful name, and I really like it with Lillian.

Date: 2007-12-03 01:39 am (UTC)I like Lillian, but as a first name. I don't think it flows as well as a middle name
