So what interesting spellings have you seen for the name Michaela/Mikayla?

I was looking through a year book yesterday and came across a 6 year old girl called

Mickhaella 

It's in the same league as the little boy I met earlier this week called

Keighjlyb

I've seen a Mikhaila and I grew up with a Micaela.

I was able to eventually work "Caleb" out of it, but it took me a while.

I sort of worked out it was Caleb but there still seems to be at least an extra J!!! I love the name Caleb but why you would want to do that to it is beyond me.

Micaela is actually the Spanish form of Michaela, pronounced something like mee-kah-AY-la. If she's not Spanish, though, it really could just be an interesting respelling, though.

She's Australian with no spanish blood. Her Mother just couldn't spell. It was definitely pronounced Michaela.

Makayla is interesting to me, but only because I'm reading it Mah-ky-lah :P
so not exactly the same name.
In italian it's Michela, or sometimes Micaela, just for reference.

I've seen Mikayla spelled "Mixajla", which is the Ukrainian form of it.

Also, in case anyone's curious, "Mixajlo" is the Ukrainian form of Michael.

I actually like Mikayla as a spelling better than Michaela (that, to me, looks like Michael-uh). But all of the other ones are awful. I don't even like Makayla, even though its so similar to the way I like to spell it.
