No, not the baby I mentioned the other day (we won't find out for at least another hour, since I forgot it's California time).

However, my cousin was presented with a very special present for her bat-mitzvah and the little angel needs a name. (delete this if this kind of baby naming is not OK)

EDIT: Baby previously mentioned in other thread is a boy, apparently. If they ask for names with J, I'm suggesting Jonah.

CUTIE! She looks like the little kitten my roommate had last year named Gypsy. I'm not very good at naming animals, though. My husband was the one who suggested Callie for our little feline baby.

Callie wasa the default name for our calico. My parents four kittens in the woods behind our house and hadn't intended to keep any. Mom's friend took two and named them Gypsie and Angel. Then my dad let my sister keep the little boy and he became Hemingway. So we just had this calico around that we all loved and so we called her "Callie" just to have something to call her.

Well, none of us looked for a new home for her so we still have her. To this day I still say she doesn't have a proper name, lol. It's like calling a white cat Whitey! (Which my sister wanted to do with Hemingway =P)

Haha. Well, actually we were teased a little at first because she's NOT a calico, she's a tabby. But we were driving home from the shelter with her in a little cardboard carrier, trying to decide what to name her because her name at the shelter was Maggie, and we weren't crazy about it. So I was calling out random things as a joke because we were so stumped, and we happened to pass the Calhoun exit, which I jokingly suggested. And my husband said, "Well what about Callie?" and I loved it!

Let me break out some of my biblical learnings... Which, I warn you, are absolutely zilch. But, as a Bat Mitzvah present, it might be cute to try and used a Hebrew name.

Adah, Adina, Zipporah "Zippy", Adara, Adi, Meira, Orly (which just makes me think of the owl and is thus awesome), Reina, Shayna, Tayla.

Actually, my little sister's middle name is Alexandra and she names all of her sucker fish some version of Alex. We've had sucker fish named Alex, Alexei, Alexander, Xander, Lex, Lexi, etc.

I really like Zippy, too. Is it a hyper kitten?

Their other cat is hyper as hell. He pulls tacks out of the wall, steals food and tried to confiscate an entire challah and shattered a dish in the process. He's called Sinbad.

They had Peekaboo but she disappeared, and Jessie finally died about a year and a half ago after being around since 1985.

I'm not good at naming animals either.. my cats name is precious.. lol, well I really don't know if that's even considered her name, it's just what I call her.
I think Elle, Lea, or something like that would be cute though. =)
