Thank you for your concern :). Yeah, my principal pronounced her name wrong over the loud speaker this morning. One of my friends started wailing... it was heart breaking. He pronounced it the way you do, which I think is beautiful and would personally use it, but it wasn't her name. It rather sucked.

I love it. I think it's a lovely name (and I like it better pronounced like helen-ah and not he-layn-ah) but I'm also not allowed to use it because a friend of mine has dibs on it, it's his favorite girls' name.

Don't you hate that? My friend is pregnant and wants to use Phineas but her neighbor is going to have her baby first and she's gonna use it... even though my friend thought of it first. That's why I'd be apprehensive about sharing name ideas in such close quarters! lol

I think it's nice if it's pronounced ha-LEE-na, which is how it is said where I live.
I don't like it pronounced helen-ah or ha-lay-na
