I mean, ideally, I'd like 3 or 4 and I know THAT's going to get expensive...but I'd never see myself with more than 4 unless I adopted after the first set was grown.

Exactly. I guess I'm not going to live up to my the stereotypical catholic family (or so that's what people think :P) thing and keep breeding. :X

I think 3 or 4 is expensive, but it's very do-able if the time is right. :)

I never asked - how far apart do you plan on having them?

LOL, oh you know us Catholics!! ;P

Yes, it is do-able, because you'll have plenty of hand me downs, especially if you always get gender neutral clothing and things, which is what we intend to do.

That's a toughie, because it depends on what our first born is. If it's a boy, then I will wait about two years and then TTC. If it's a girl though, I will TTC within the year after she is born, because I don't quite care for the family/sibling dynamics of first born female that is more than 2 years older than her next sibling. So, if we have a girl first, I at least want her to be close in age to her next sibling, whether that be a brother or sister. If it's a brother, then they will be on the same level (see Andrew's issue), and if they are sisters I hope they will have a closer bond than siblings farther apart. My reasoning for these things is that Andrew is very thick headed sometimes about protecting girls, and the way I was raised, this would only make for parenting clashes and a devious older girl like I was.

Just my thinking though, I haven't tested it...yet! The way to go is a set of boy/girl twins first...or boy/boy. :) Don't we all wish it was that easy to plan our lives??

I know what you mean about the "devious" older one. Scared out of my mind about that. :/

heehee just wait till she's in labor bashing his head in for sticking it to here so many times...unless the idea of childbirth (not the number of children, the delivery scene) doesn't scare you dear. Being only 20, I can see I have some time to grow to love the idea but right now, i'm still scarred from my mother telling me of how i was "ripped from her loins"...UGH

haha i want 8 kids too...but thats only cause im too young to seriously consider children and i was an only child.

BUT!

name wise..
I ADORE the name Logan, and LOVE Xander, but more as a nn. Maybe Logan Alexander? but use the nn Xander?

And Samantha is such a classic name, i love it.

I like Scott and Christopher, but am not a huge fan of Dominic or Giovanni

But great names overall and Good luck!

Congrats to the family :)
Melody Rose is a beautiful name, they all have great names.

Woah 8 kids, jeez where would you put them?
It's alright for a guy to say that, bet he wouldn't be so keen if he had to go though labour & childbirth 8 times.
Seriously though, good luck to you. :)

All those names are nice.

I like all your names. (I REALLY like Scott and Logan.) And I like your cousins names too.
8 kids is completely doable. My mom is one of eight and I'm envious of her because I only have two brothers. I will have AT LEAST three kids and hopefully more.

I love the names you've picked! I do like Logan Alexander over Logan Xander, it just seems to flow better. But that's just my personal preference.

I also plan on having four kids. Haven't decided on names or spacing yet (aside from knowing that I don't want that large of a gap between the third and fourth, two years at the most), I just don't want one, being an only child myself. Two makes it too easy to fall into the good child/evil child role, and three has the child stuck in the middle. I have also possibly given this far more thought than healthy for a teenager.

Scott Giovanni is mismatched ethnically, but the rest are nice.
