I was just wondering what people think of the name Lennon for a baby boy? What middle names do you think might make a good combo?

In a recent post here, a woman had a poll including Jonas Lennon. I think that's a very good combination. I prefer Lennon as a middle name.

I like it. But you can't use John or anything Beatle-esque as a middle name.

McCartney.

Really. Is there any other name which goes better than Lennon??

I like it. I know a guy my age named Lennon and he's really cool and a musician; the name suits him.

But what if your kid grows up and hates the Beatles?

In my opinion, it's a little silly. I thought the woman who used it as a middle name did it properly--with class. Since she will be giving the name to the child as a middle name, it's an homage but not a piling of her favorites onto her child, which would seem wrong, but hey. Do what you want to do.

I do like it, but I can't shake its similarity to Lenin.

Yeah, that reminds me how I used to call the guy I know named Lennon, Lenin.

Not a bad name - unless you hate the Beatles. Just don't name them Lennon John (surname), hehe.

I love, love that name for a boy.
I think I am personally going with it as a middle name (the John Lennon connotation is quite strong...not that that's a bad thing...but it sure is obvious). It's hard to come up with a good middle name, using it as a first name.

I like Lennon, I'd never use it myself but it's a nice name.

Lennon James
Lennon Charles
Lennon Preston
Lennon Jason
Lennon Rich
Lennon Geoff

I totally adore it, have done for years. :)
My combo of choice is Lennon Richard (after my brother).

Lenin was the first thing that came to my mind as well. Which makes me want to suggest names like Vladimir or Ilyich.

I don't really like it.
I prefer names whose associations are subtle. :)

This is the exact suggestion I was going to make. I love how Lennon James sounds.

I really like the name Lennon for a boy. I think any classic, simple masculine name would work fine.

Also:
Lennon Thomas
Lennon Michael
Lennon Matthew
Lennon David
Lennon Daniel

I would only use it as a middle name, because it LOOKS good but if I heard it, I would assume "Lenin"... and... what, Stalin? Eurgh.

I work in a school and we've got a little boy (he's 4) named Lennon.
When i first heard the name I thought it was strange, but now it's really grown on me and I even think it's nice.
