9 Children!

I had a quick scan of the community and didn't see this already posted, last night on the news there was a story about this couple who had nine children [all through sperm donor]

While 9 kids is weird enough, they have had TWO sets of quads.

Parents - Dale and Darren.

Shelby [oldest girl]

Quad set 1:
Emma
Ellie
Samuel
Joseph

Quad set 2:
Sarah
Alice
Matthew
Milly [Milly was unfortunately stillborn.]

Tiger Lilly [youngest]


AND they are apparently expecting number 10.

Wow, they were all fairly normal until it got to Tiger Lilly. I love Tiger Lilies, but it's a really weird name. I can't imagine saying, "Tiger Lilly, clean your room!"

Plus, wasn't Tiger Lily a character in Peter Pan?

I actually went to high school with a girl named Tiger...but she spelt it Tyger.

Although I don't like all the names of the quads, they go well together. And then Tiger Lily? Here's to hoping she goes by Lily.

See I think Tiger Lilly might be the entire first name, because second names for the other children were not mentioned.

They did really good on naming them, right up until the youngest.

I wonder if this next one is a boy, if they'll name him Peter Pan?

They are execting number 11, not 10.

I don't like the use of first letters.. two E's, an S and a J.
Ellie should be Eleanor/Eliana etc as the others are full names.

Aart from the random Tiger Lilly they are all boring names.

I don't see in the article where it says anything about Tiger Lilly.

Ellie and Milly and Lilly are a bit too cutesy for me, but overall the names are nice.

You are right, the article does NOT mention anything about Tiger Lily...... hmmmm. And I doubt the author of the article would make an error of numbers in the HEADLINE of his story... ".. concieves 10th baby". Tiger Lily would have been the 10th baby concieved. Interesting observation you made.

On the news report it did mention Tiger Lilly and I found another article with it mentioned.

However, she is only 2 months old, so perhaps that article was written BEFORE Tiger Lilly was born? I didn't check the date.

Hah, I should've checked the article's date. That's from February 12th, 2007. Now she's pregnant again! Wow, she's got her hands full that's for sure. =]
