What do you think about -line/-leine names? Some of my favorite names are:
Adeline
Aveline
Emaline
Madeleine
Amberline
Aureline

Is my name, Ember, too close to Emaline to use for a girl?

Adeline: Love it.
Aveline: Eh. Never really consider it.
Emaline: I wish it was last September...
Madeleine: I prefer Madeline, but other than that, I love it.
Amberline: I don't think I've heard this one before, but I'm not especially fond of Amber, so...
Aureline: Interesting, but I don't think I'd use it.

I don't think Ember and Emaline are too similar, mainly because I'm guessing if I heard someone say aloud that their name was Ember, I'd assume they were saying Amber, and Amber and Emaline don't seem too similar to me.

I never liked it because it was popular, it's the name of a street/record company based out of the East Bay, and I always liked the sound. I actually interned at that company for a short time.

I'm not a fan of -line/-leine names in general, just because I don't like extremely feminine names on girls (and -leine/-line is very feminine in my book) =).
I don't think Ember is too close to Emaline though!
