Middle Name Question

Which do you guys prefer: Katherine Sophia Wedo or Katherine Simone Wedo? I chose Katherine because it's a nod to several of the women in the family (my mom's middle name, my paternal grandmother's name, his mom's name) but Simone is his mother's middle name. Personally, I don't like it, but she's been pushing it on us for a year now (ever since we got engaged). Should I let my daughter have Simone as a middle name to shut her up, or the more beautiful (IMO) Sophia?

Katherine Simone flows pretty well, but I agree with you that Sophia is a better name! I say keep your ground!
Do you happen to like Simon? Maybe you can tell her you'll name your kid that next time if it's a boy.

you should stick with Sophia.. if you named her Katherine Simone wouldnt that be the exact same as his mother?? she shouldnt expect that from you..

If you're already using her first name as the first name of the kid, why should you have to use her middle name too? That seems kind of excessive. Unless I'm reading this wrong.

I vote Katherine Sophia, she's your daughter, she should have at least ONE name that you chose. That way you can call her Sophie if you want.... i like the spelling of Katherine btw. =] its my name.

Aww, yay! I always liked Katherine because of the different personalities of the queens of Henry VIII. Three of them shared the name, but they were so different from each other.

Use Sophia. She's your daughter, and as was pointed out above, you're already using his mom's first name (unless I too am reading this wrong).

Use Sophia. Use the one YOU like. If you let her win this battle, you might end up having to let her win a lot. Put your foot down now (just my two cents...)

I like Katherine Sophia better anyway. It's a lot prettier. Simone is just...blah.

Personally I prefer Simone, or Sofia with an F. However, she's your daughter and I think you should name her what you want and tell his mother, very politely, to sod off ;)

Seriously, it's your baby. You'll have to live with the name. I'd never name my child something that I didn't like, not even to make people happy. Perhaps she should have used 'Simone' in one of her children's names?

She had two boys and didn't like 'Simon'. Can't blame her there, though- I'm not a fan of the name myself.

*laugh* True, and I really do agree with you, but she's so adorable and sweet that I have a really hard time saying no to her at all. I mean, she somehow made me go to a haunted house with her just because she asked. I'm scared pooless of those things!
