Oct. 31st, 2007 02:39 pmHow do you pronounce Imogen?
Is the emphasis on the hard "O" sound? Or do you just kind of skip over the O or give it an "A" or "eh" sound instead, like in Isobel?
Im-OH-gen
Ima-gen
IM-eh-gen
IM-oh-gen
I've only ever seen this name written down. I think I like it, but I don't think the first pronunciation sounds very feminine.

Date: 2007-10-31 07:20 pm (UTC)I was pretty much the same way as you--I didn't know of it until I read it in a children's novel, and there I thought it was incredibly pretty. When I said it aloud I really disliked it.
