Oct. 18th, 2005 12:11 pmHello, I am a new memeber of this community. I am 16 years old, H.S Junior so I don't plan to have children for at least 10 years. But I still keep a notebook of names w/ their meanings. I usually like names that aren't that popluar and foreign. I am a sucker for almost any name with "elle" ending: Brielle, Mireille, Daniellle etc.

Date: 2005-10-18 01:55 pm (UTC)I don't have a problem mixing name origins/heritages. We live in a very diverse multi cultural society, most people won't even notice anyway.
My brother's name is very traditional and Germanic in origin, with an originally Aramaic (now common Biblical) middle name. While mine is an English word, with a Welsh middle name.
We aren't German, or even Christian. And only very slightly Welsh.
No one has ever commented on that.
The names suit us, and sound pretty OK together. So that's what counts.
