Two Questions

1. IF you liked the name and IF you were going to use it, which would you use: Melanie or Melony? Why or why not?

2. I noticed on a locker sign today (for someone's birthday) the name Ahlizabeth. WDYT? I think it's purely ludicrous, and it's a bit shameful to the original spelling. I have always seen Elizabeth as "classy" and "formal"... but this name makes me want to gag a bit. Will crazy spellings ever be put to rest?

I like Melanie because I like traditional spellings and that's the only way I've ever seen it.

Melanie. Melanie seems more like a name and more...adult-like. Melony reminds me of the fruit. Like the way you'd describe somebody. Like saying, "Oh, she's melony." As in, she's very melon-like. Hahaha.

Melanie, it's my best friend's name. I think Melony should either just become Melanie or Melody. I'm not a fan of Ahlizabeth. I just don't think you should mess with classic names like that.

Ahlizabeth sounds like something I might've tried to go by to be "cool." When I was about twelve. (And, in fact, I made up about seven trillion versions of Elizabeth to try out, but somehow missed that one.) Now, I am grateful that my mother knew how to spell.

I prefer Melanie to Melony.
