Well, Tilly is my dog's name. I like it for her, but I can't imagine it on a child, now that it's been her name for 5 years. Of those three, I like Matilda for a person best.
I like Matilda more or less but I'd never use it myself. I don't like it all that much to use it myself.
Between Matti and Tilly, I'd go with Mattie. I never leave off the 'e' because it just looks a bit tacky to me. It's a cute nickname. Tilly seems too cutsie and I don't really like it that much.
i ADORE tilly! i met a little girl named tilly a few weeks ago, full name matilda. also, for reasons unknown, tilly was a nickname my mother used to call me when i was little. ive pondered using it as a full name.
I like them all, including Milly/Millie. Tilly and Matti would really depend on the child in question for me. Y'know how some kids just really fit with a derivative of their name? I think because I like both Tilly and Matti, I'd just wait and see which one fitted better with the child.
I like Matilda or Tilly. I used to do respite care for a little girl with Down Syndrome called Tilly. But when she was three, they decided to change it back to Matilda because apparently it was too confusing for her, and she didn't undersant the concept of why she had two names. Personally, i think it would have been more confusing to go from one name to the other. :S
