I read a short story a while ago and the main character was a boy named Irish
I think it's cool although I don't know if I'd ever use it.
I watched a documentary once (My Life As A Child on TLC) and there was a girl named Rio.
I think that's a really cute name as well.
And do you think the name Cass (not short for anything) could ever pass for a boy's name?

Cass is just too undefined to me, it could be really any gender, any ethnicity etc. But I'm thinking in anglosaxon countries it would be mostly taken as short for Cassidy.

And yes, Cass could pass as a boy's name, IMO. Why make it a long name if you like the name Cass? =)

I know a guy named Cass. I always liked his name. He really looked like a Cass too.

Date: 2007-10-07 03:49 pm (UTC)Rio isn't bad, but I would assume it was a boy's name. River tends to be a boy's name, and Rio is Spanish for River. Also, names that end in O tend to be male names while names that end in A tend to be girl's names.
I don't like Irish at all.
