[identity profile] cinderlily.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So my fiance and I have been talking off and on about baby names pretty much for the entirety of our relationship. (We are weird like that.) But for the life of us we RARELY like a name that the other likes, which I foresee being fun in a few years but whatever. :D Today we stumbled upon a name that I absolutely fell in love with:

Natalia Eve.

I LOVE it. HE loves it. It is on our list. It makes me incredibly happy.

Timm (the DF) is a music person, and has a theory that all names have to have a good rhythm to it, you know? In our case our last name will be two syllables, and so he taps out the rhythm of a name before he will say if he likes it or not. (Like, Natalia Rose and our last name would be Tuck-uh-Tuck-uh Tuck Tuck-uh.) Does this make any sense to other people? Is this common in naming or is my Drummer love a complete dork?

I know what you mean. Our last name is Lauder (like Estee) and that means no first or middle names that end in -L or -ER. Which is probably for the best, since a lot of -ER names are trendy anyway. But still...
