It's an old name, it's been around since the middle ages, and it was the name of some pretty notable people... Emily Bronte, for example? Emily Dickinson?

It's not a question of whether Emily Dickinson's poems are crappy. You were just saying in another comment that some people call all the names they like classics, whether they are or not. You're doing exactly the same thing. Names you like are classics, names you don't aren't. :P
