Thought you all might appreciate this: My little sister has a boy in her class named Chief Justice. He goes by CJ. We... laugh at that lot.

Right now my favorite name is Liluye, I don't know where I found it, though. A lot of my classmates have interesting names... Oluseyi (it's pronounced ol-a-shey, and it really fits her) is always a fun one with substitute teachers.

I'm named Laurah. I see a big difference in personality between laura and laurah... what kind of appearance do you associate with the name Laura? What about Laurah? (I'll tell you what I look like and stuff afterwards :P)

To be perfectly honest..It just kinda looks like someone spelled it wrong or threw on an extra letter for whatever reason. Maybe to look trendy or 'different'. It's just a letter, it doesn't have any personality differences for me.

Laurah looks... really bizarre. I can't wrap my brain around it.

Laura could be many things. Laurah... well, any name says more about the parents/people who chose it than the person who has it, unless it's a self-chosen nickname or such. I'm guessing your parents are quite socially acceptable but may not like to admit it.

It reminds me of Hoorah, so I want to put a major, really excited emphasis on the -rah part.

You would always think I was yelling at you. lol.

Laurah looks like it should be pronounce Law-RAAAHH. With the stress on a really long, drawn-out second syllable. I don't like it, but maybe that's because I'm a Laura and I think it looks like a silly attempt to jazz up a perfectly decent name.

...and that sounded bitchier than I meant it to, sorry :-/

I don't come in for the 'my name fits my personality' thing.
The difference I see between Laura and & Laurah, is that Laura's parents know how to spell & realise that an extra H will just add confusion.

Did you change the spelling yourself, or were you actually named that from birth?

it's funny, my best friend is a Lorah (changed by deed poll herself) for no real reason, I think it's ridiculous!
