trying to get my list down

to about 5-7 names each.

i've gotten it narrowed down some, but opinions would be appreciated.

oh! at the bottom i added some combos of names i've come across in the past month that have stuck with me...

Boy names:

Gaige
Ami *ah-mee*
Cameron

(and two i didn't put on there, only b/c i don't know how to make them a combination)

Jacobi(y)
Dod

any help would be nice. :) http://www.babynames.com/namelist/9528856

Hm...I know a little girl named Ami (pron. the same way).

Yep. She's of Persian descent, I believe. Her sister's name is Anissa.

I think it sounds more feminine, anyways.

I really love Gaige!
Jacobi Dod...not so much.

Dod is a big NO in my book regardless of whatever meaning it may have. Think along the lines of some grade school playground and teasing mean children calling Dod...Dud...Get out of Dodge and much worse.

how do you pronounce the last two?

& I know a boy named Gage.

Ami is also French for 'friend', which is nice =) But if you're in an English speaking country, I guess you will risk ir being pronounced like Amy.
I like Gaige.
I don't like Jacobi & Dod at all.
