The name "Catherine" has many variations all over European languages.

Catriona (Italian), Caterina (Greek), Kaatje, Katya, Catrin (Welsh), Caitrin, Catharina, Ekaterina (Russian), etc.

I think some of those ethnic versions are pretty. Catharina is nice, I knew a South African woman named Mimie Catharina.

We have a *Very* Italian last name, with Italian heritage and two Italian names siblings, so Juliet went first :)
