A couple in Florida had six babies today. Five boys and one girl joined big sister Zoe. The boys were named Brady Christopher, Eli Benjamin, Ryan Patrick, Jackson Robert and Charlie Craig. The girl is MacKenzie Margaret.

I like Eli Benjamin and Jackson Robert best.

Thoughts?

Eli Benjamin and Ryan Patrick are awesome. I really like those. Charlie Craig is okay, but I REALLY hate the nicknames-as-first-names trend. Charles Craig would be much better, although I'm still not a fan of the alliteration. Brady Christopher and Jackson Robert are okay, just not my style. MacKenzie is horrible, but I like Margaret.

As far as I know, Charlie is a nickname, not a formal name. People USE IT as a formal name, instead of Charles, but I really dislike it. It makes the kid look like he doesn't know his full name, because people assume that it's Charles and Charlie is a nickname.

You've never heard Charlie as a nickname?? I've never heard Charlie as anything BUT a nickname until just recently when I've heard people say "well, if I'm going to call him Charlie, I might as well just name him that, instead of Charles."

And I'm not sure what you mean about Lucy, lol. Lucy is one of the few names that I think can work as both a nickname for something like Lucille or Louisa, and as a formal name on it's own (although I prefer it as a nickname, I think).

I can understand not having heard that something was a nickname for another name - up until recently I didn't know Liam was a nn for William; but, at least to me, Charlie seems like a really obvious nn for Charles.

Charlie I don't think works well as a full name, but Lucy and Liam I think are OK.

I can't even hate on them. I'm having a hard enough time coming up with two boys names and two girls names that I like; coming up 5 boys and 1 girls name must have been hard.

All great! The two girls' names are my favorites. What a great (big!) sibset.

I would love love love sextuplets.

WOW.

I don't like any of them except Charlie, and I hate the name Craig.
Mackenzie is vile, after 5 boys why would you use such an androginous ugly name for your one daughter?

I love Eli Benjamin. The rest I don't hate but I don't particularly like apart from McKenzie Margaret, which I really dislike. It doesn't go with the rest of the names at all IMO plus it's ugly!

I was about to mourn the girl being given the name "MacKenzie", but then I was like...hey. They spelled it right...they gave her a nice middle name... and it's not like she has five brothers named Jalen, Jaedyn, Braendonn, Aidan, and Hayden.
Overall, cool.

Like:
Zoe
Eli Benjamin
Ryan Patrick

Dislike:
Brady Christopher - love Christopher, but hate Brady
Jackson Robert - Jackson's a surname, but Robert's nice
Charlie Craig - Charlie's a nice name, but only if it's a nn for Charles (or even Charlotte); hate Craig
MacKenzie Margaret - really bad combo me thinks; MacKenzie is a surname; Margaret could have worked as the mn if the first name had been better.
