A friend of mine is due in October with twins...a girl and a boy.

She's dead set on naming them Maggie and Mason (although I am still trying to talk her out of it!!!!)  but she needs middle names for them. 

Any suggestions??

I don't mind either name, but Maggie as a full name just bothers me. Could she maybe be persuaded to use Maggie as a nickname for Me(a)g(h)an? I knew a girl in high school who did that.

would she consider using magnolia, nickname maggie? maggie is adorable, but not very mature. and magnolia and mason would be good sibling names, if they must start with the same letter.

Hey...it works for Maggie Smith. :o) I love the combination, personally. And I would say that my best ideas for middle names would be, depending on flow and last name and all that:

Maggie and Mason aren't bad. They're actually kind of cute. The endings are so completely similar that they mostly overshadow the beginning identical sounds. (This is coming from someone who hates giving twins matching names)

Ugh, Maggie and Mason are not 'cute'. They're way too similar for twins, and Maggie is a nickname, and Mason is a surname. When I hear 'Maggie and Mason' my first reaction isn't, "Awwwww!" it's, "Blech." Still, at least it's not Teagan and Reagan or something.
