My sister is pregnant with twin girls and she's picked out names. Personally, I love them. I just wanted to post and see what every one thought. :)

Heidi Elizabeth (Elizabeth is my and my grandmother's middle name)
Gretchen Elyse (Elise is a form of Elizabeth and is the father's great grandmother's and aunt's middle name)

I love how they match origin-wise instead of phonetically. That is a mommy worth loving.

And Elyse is the only name I find acceptable to replace an i with a y.

My sister is Elyse and I never knew anyone spelled it any other way until a few years ago. I prefer Elyse to Elise because it looks less like "Elsie."

i mostly like them, but i have always loathed the name gretchen. not entirely sure why. just sounds too much like wretched and its various forms. other than that though, i approve of the names.

Gretchen always reminds me of a cute little girl with pig tails. I don't know why. I never use the term "wretch" for vomit so that's probably why I don't get that association.

But every name has something funky associated with it.... Just some are more obvious, I supposed. lol

It was funny because Gretchen was a name they threw out there and then retracted when they were talking about it being two girls. And the day they found out that they were having two girls, the ultrasound tech's name was... Gretchen. And then we all went to Macaroni Grille for lunch and our server's name was... Gretchen!

And you're right. How often do you run into ONE let alone TWO in ONE day!
