[identity profile] erwin-rules-yay.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi, I'm 16 years old. My aunt is 27 weeks pregnant with a little girl!! She already has a 9 month old son, Jackson. The reason I am posting on here is because she is having a major struggle with names. She just can't seem to find a name she really loves or that goes with Jackson. These are some names she has in mind: Riley, Morgan, Campbell, and Peyton. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!(Middle names also welcome) :)

I can handle Morgan or Riley on a girl. Peyton makes me think of big beefy football players. Campbell makes me think of the little fat boy on a Campbell's soup label.

Other semi-unisex or not frilly girl names:

Adele
Ariel
Audrey
Avery
Catherine/Katherine
Blake
Deirdre
Esme (EZ-may)
Harper
Jane
Kelsey
Linden
Manon
Meriel
Meredith
Noa (this name also appears in the bible as a girls name -- it is not the same as Noah)
Rio
Sadie
Tamsin

I think Esme is a very girly name. I love it.. but it's only pronounced 'Ez-May' if there's and accent on the 'e' As in Esmé, otherwise it's just Ez-Mee'...which i do prefer...anyway thats all!

Esme is the male form. Esmee is the female form. I listed it here as a unisex name since I see the Esme used for girls in the US.

As far as the pronunciation, ez-may is the only way I've personally heard it, but people don't always agree on those either. (Maybe like the traditionally French pronunciation of Genevieve vs the Americanized. Or the way Aislinn is being used as ACE-lynn.)
