Aidan (every spelling) and everything that rhymes. McKenzie as a first name (every spelling) Every spelling of Michaela that is not Michaela McKenna (every spelling)
I work for Princess Cruises. We had an agent named Princess. That was her name. "Thank you for calling Princess, this is Princess." "No... really. What??"
Yeah. And she was this.. not so small.... girl. Who... wasn't straight. So it was just odd.
I'd outlaw Jordan, Ryan and Andrea as girls' names! Jordan b/c it's weird on a girl, and Ryan and Andrea b/c they have masculine references in their meanings ("little king" and "manly", respectively).
And of course all kr8tyvv spellings and anything that severely violates any phonetic rule, like TiĆ amii, Cacee for Casey, and the likes.
in english-speaking countries it is only for girls, but in Italy Andrea is a male name (feminine being Andreina, but it's old-fashioned and very rare). Also, in Scandinavian countries Andreas is a male's name.
Nicholas. Both of my brothers are Nicholas. Yes, they were named by the same biological parent. My stepfather is Nicholas. I have had several friends with the name or nickname of Nick (many of them girls).
Why Kevin? 0_o Kreeativ spellings Anything with apostrophes (De'..., D'..., La'..., L'..., etc) Pretty, preppy girls names like Brittany, Paige, Piper, Madison etc. Most celebrity baby names... Names that match the kids surname (Donald McDonald, Micheal Micheals, Richard Richards etc...)
I wouldn't outlaw any names because I don't thnk the government should interfere that much, uless it's something crude or outright offensive.
I do think there should be a filled quota, though. like, 2,000 babies get a name in a year, the 2001st tries to use it, they get a big TOO BAD. try again next time! but then everyone would be planning their pregnancies to end in january, so they could squeeze out another kaden or emma. except me because I doubt there are 2000 kids with any of the names I've picked...
Overall, I think it would really irritate me if the government told me what I could or could not name my child. However, the following things really irritate me:
Screw government control. Especially on my own business such as naming my children. If anyone tried to interfere with me as a parent I'd knock their smart-alecky teeth in.
