Cor-een
or
Cor-in

i would do that first pronunciation

if it was Cor-in, i would spell the name with a y: corynn. I've come across that name and I'm a huge proponent of it. It's more catchy and unique than cor-een and it's a name that ends in "ynn", which i find feminine and more unique than female names ending an an A, but its not a typical "ynn" name, like lynn.

um, I hope that made sense - i've been sickish all day and kind of out of it =(

i usually pronounce: K/Corinn(e), K/Corin, K/Coryn, K/Corynn(e) all like "cor-in"

there's a girl who spells is Karinne & also pronounces it "cor-in." i like that spelling, but i know people would either say "karen" or "ka-reen."

I know two Corinne's

One pronounces it Cor-een and the other Cor-in.

I am more likely to say Cor-in though.

Cor-EEN, because it's a french name

In French, "Corinne" would be pronounced "Cor-inn".

If you wanted it pronounced "Cor-een", it would have to be spelled "Corine".

nope, simply because the french don't have a short 'i' sound.
they have dipthongs (sp?), like 'magasin' and 'magazine' are read differently because in the first one the syllables are ma-ga-sin, so the -sin is pronounced like 'sen', while the latter is broken into ma-ga-zi-ne, thus separating i-n and pronouncing -zine as 'zeenn'. In this case though, although the syllables would spell Co-rin-ne but the -in- sound here is certainly not 'en'.

Cor-in, though I'd probably say it more like Kuh-RIN.

Corinne Juliet is on my list! :)

Depends on the language... when I read it in English I say "Co-rin", but in Dutch it's "Cor-in-nuh" to me.

"Cor-IN-nah". In Dutch we pronounce the -ne and -na at the end of names, they're not silent as they are in English.

I like the spelling Corinne, and I would say it either Cor-IN or Cor-EEN. But the COR part I pronounce more like Cur or Cuh... sort of like the first syllable in cursive. It's definitely not CORE to me.

I know a corinne, & she says it cor-IN, whereas another girl I know who pronounces her name cor-een actually spells it coreen.
