One thing I haven't seen posted in this community is Whats your Name?
So I'm curious. What is your name? What does it mean and how do you feel about it? And also, if you feel comfertable answering, if you could change it what would it be?

My first and middle name are Shanna Marie
I have no idea what Shanna means because I have seen so many different answers to that question. Some say its a variant of Shannon and others don't ..so im not 100% sure
Marie is a family name

I absolutely love my name. I have never met another Shanna and I love that. I am not crazy about the constant mispronunciation of it (I say it as Shan-ah and people says Shawn-ah or Shane-uh all the time)
I think my middle name is ok. I like that its a family name I just wish it wasn't soooooo common. I'm 21 and all of my friends except 2 have the middle name Marie (one is Brooke and the other is Ann)

And I would not change my name ever

I know a few people named Shana, but I've never seen it with two n's. One of them pronounces it Shawn-uh, but the other ones all pronounce it Shane-uh. When it pronounced Shane-uh I LOVE it. Which is weird, since I hate all the people I know who pronounce it that way and the one who pronounces it Shawn-uh is one of my best friends, lol.

yeah with the two n's its pronounced differently. Its more like the name Anna with a Sh in front of it. Honestly I think it depends on the accent with my name. I'm from New York so everyone here says it the same way...but my friend from Georgia and my boss from Antigua def pronounce the 1st A a lot softer than I do

That's what a baby name book I have says. :o) I think it's a beautiful name.
