family name alteration

babynamesi was thinking about family names and one of them is Mary Lee. The Lee came from Robert E. Lee (yeah we're related he's my 4-great uncle). We're very proud of the Lee part because we're southern.
My cousins all have Marys or Lee's as their middle name even a cousin named Merrily. I was playing with spellings and accidentally left out the r.
I came up with Maylie and I kind of like it
