i was thinking about family names and one of them is Mary Lee. The Lee came from Robert E. Lee (yeah we're related he's my 4-great uncle). We're very proud of the Lee part because we're southern.

My cousins all have Marys or Lee's as their middle name even a cousin named Merrily. I was playing with spellings and accidentally left out the r.
I came up with Maylie and I kind of like it

WDYT?

Does anyone know what the hebrew version of Jessica is?
Like Shoshana for Susan, Devorah for Deborah etc.
I found that it comes from the hebrew name Yehayagem, but I don't know if it's arcaic or if it's the actual version that they use in modern times.

Thanks in advance!

Hey, everyone!
I posted here about a week ago, with names that my friend and I liked. And for a few of my names, I couldn't think of any middle names that would fit, or sound right.

Those names are:
James
Jack
and
Gianna

If you folks would be kind enough to suggest just a few, that would be greatly appreciated. I prefer sorta.. classic names. =)

I was at the Doctors today, and a lady had two boys, one named Pheonix which I thought was nice, and the other was called (and I'm not sure of spelling because I didn't see it written down) Felgrem. I reaaaaaally didn't like it.
Opinions?
I looked it up but I can't find a meaning. Does anyone know what it means? Keep in mind I may have the spelling wrong.

What do you think of using a name that is normally short for something else? Like Ron instead of Ronald, Mel instead of Melanie/Melody/Melissa, Dan instead of Daniel, anything like that.
My grandfather's given name is Billy. Once he reached adulthood it was shorted to Bill. I think it's cool, because he was never just another William.
I don't personally think it is necessary to name a kid John if you plan to call him Jack anyway. I kind of think it's best to name a child what you plan to call them, even if it isn't conventional.

"A" names!

I used www.aussiethings.com/babynames to help me, which gave meanings, so I included them.

* Ones I really like.
