Has anyone noticed
Jul. 2nd, 2007 12:18 amthe increasing number of Marinas popping up lately?
Marina is my mother's name, and until recently I'd never met or heard of many other people with the name. Now it seems like it's popping up everywhere. I love the name, but to me it sounds old-world and pretty, not like something that would readily become trendy. Maybe it's just me.
I just hope it doesn't balloon into the next Madison or Alyssa.

Date: 2007-07-02 05:28 am (UTC)Marina is quite a pretty name. I don't think I know anyone called that either.
An interesting side note that just occured to me: In New Zealand we call where you moor your boat on the edge of the water a 'marina'. I don't know if anywhere else calls it that too so sorry if they do and you all already knew that :D
