I am interested if people know what they would have been named if they would have been born the other gender, and if they like that name. I would have been Charles Robert nn Charlie. I like these names but I don't think I would use them.

I love the name Eleanor, but I was a nanny for an little Eleanor so I don't think I could ever use it. Hamish, huh. I've never heard that name. Where are you from?

I'm Australian, but with Very Very Scottish heritage. My last name is something terribly Scottish, and Hamish is also terribly Scottish, so put together I'm pretty sure I'd have been doomed to people asking me what was under my kilt for the rest of my life.

Jeffery, or Cameron [My name is Claire]. Which are now my 2 younger brothers' names. [Jeffery Cameron and Cameron Gary].
I do like the names, but i honestly don't know if it's because i'm so used to them.
Cameron is a family name and one i will most likely end up using for one of my own children.

I'd have been Charles McAlpin, after my grandfather. My brother would've been Noelle, instead he is Timothy Donald. My other brother would've been Tiffany Diane, instead he is Gregory Albert. My sister would've been Kristofer Adam, instead she is Nicole Diane. And we knew the last baby would've been a girl, so there was no "would've been" for her (She is Tiffany Ann).

I would likely have been Alexander (I'm Alessandra now...I don't think my dad liked Alessandro, so they were going to go with the anglicized version). They toyed with the idea of naming me Tereq, though, which would have carried on the tradition of white males with inexplicably Arab names in my family (my dad's name is Kim Samir, his step-father is Arab and his name actually makes perfect sense under the circumstances but given his pallor it's a bitch to explain why he's not a little Lebanese man).

I would've been Jeremy Allen. I always loved the name when I was little and I hated my name, Lindsey Renee'. I always wished I had been a boy. Now I much prefer Lindsey Renee'. I wouldn't use Jeremy Allen because Jeremy just sounds weird to me now and Allen is my niece's father's middle name and my SO and niece's father do not get along. He wouldn't allow it.

I am Jessica Anne. If I was a boy I was going to be Jacob David. My sister, who gave birth last year, had a boy and named him Jacob David...not having a CLUE that was to be my name if I were a boy! Now I look at my nephew, who takes after our side and smile. :)

My parents wanted a girl so bad that they refused to think I was a boy. My two older brothers were such terrors that they were too scared to think they may have another boy. ;P

But I did hear that my dad always wanted to name one of his songs Jason so that's probably what they would have went with if I had turned out to be a boy.

They ended up using it for my brother. The name suits him perfectly so I try not to be too bitter about it.

I woulda been named after my dad, which is Gary. not sure about the mn, But I'm Tara Lynn instead and i really like myname. but the first son they had, my brother, was named after him so he is Gary Paul, paul after my cousin who was hit by a drunk driver and was killed. so im thinking i woulda been gary paul to.
Funny about my sisters name, shes Michelle now b/c back when she was born, my grandfather couldnt pronounce Cheryl the right way so they didnt want to name her that :P but is she had been a boy, she'd have been Gary instead of my brother.

My parents didn't know if I would be a boy or girl, but my mom said she decided she was having a girl and so they didn't pick out any boy names. Thank God I'm a girl! lol
