I like it, and I like it better as Leila, but my great-great-aunt's name is Leila, so I might be biased. Everyone calls her Lee. As far as middle names go, pretty much anything works with it, as long as it doesn't rhyme (like Leila Kayla or something).
Jean is the middle name of my maternal grandmother, my mother, myself, and when I have a daughter... I think her name will be Amelia Jean, but definately carry the middle name. :) It is fun to be part of something that has been going for generations now. Glad you like it!
yeah i def plan on using Jean as a middle name at some point. That so nice that you plan on carrying down the name. My grandma was the first to be named Jean in the family but maybe I'll start the tradition hehe
I actually used to know someone named Leila (one of my classmates back in highschool) and she pronounced it Lay-lah even though it was spelt Leila. Thats where I got the spelling from actually
I adore the name Leila. I was just thinking tonight how much I love it because one of my Sims characters is Leila. My favorite combo for Leila is Leila Morgan.
lol thats so funny. i always liked the name but i decided to post it when I was playing the SIMS and one of them (not my character but still) was named Leila haha
I love it- it has a great song to go with it, it's a classic name, and it has a mythological (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Layla_and_Majnun) story to go along with it. I like the spelling Laila as well, but I'd probably just go along with the Layla spelling if I ever use it since it seems to be the most familar one.
i like either way, & i love the name in general lol. i've heard it pronounced Lay-la, Lee-la & Lie-la when spelled Leila. so it's all on how you want to say it, really.
it depends on the middle & last names as to how i'd spell it...
I love the name. I actually like both spellings. I think I prefer Layla just a little, but I hate Eric Clapton so much, it almost turns me back to Leila.
