If I remember correctly someone posted not too long ago about meeting a pair of twins named Melinda and Melissa. I now have proof that those names are a little too similar.

My name is Melinda and I just happened to glance at an appointment card where they listed my name as Melissa. Poor little girls.

On a sidenote, does anyone else with a fairly unique name have this problem? It doesn't happen too much, but I've also had instances of being called Melanie (by a teacher no less).

I know! And what's even wierder is that it's my mom's name. Everyone who's ever called me that does not know my mom. I also get Lainey sometimes. Maybe I just don't know how say my own name.

My nickname is Mindy and they actully put my name for a yearbook caption in place of a Mandy.
