If I remember correctly someone posted not too long ago about meeting a pair of twins named Melinda and Melissa. I now have proof that those names are a little too similar.

My name is Melinda and I just happened to glance at an appointment card where they listed my name as Melissa. Poor little girls.

On a sidenote, does anyone else with a fairly unique name have this problem? It doesn't happen too much, but I've also had instances of being called Melanie (by a teacher no less).

Well my name is Sarlotta and people always want to see it as Charlotta or Carlotta or just Lotta :P Sucks, but i love my name.

Sarlotta? That's interesting! Where did your parents get it from?

They wanted me to get a name that would be easy to transfer into a everywhere name(to a name that everyone can say without trouble), and my mom picked it up from Swedish calendar :) I'm quite proud of it ^^
