I am not a fan of "matchy" or themed twin or sibling names. But I find myself really liking the names Elizabeth (nn Eliza) and Erik lately. I think that they sound nice together as twin names or sibset. I feel like I may be breaking one of my hard and fast rules here, but the soft El- and -th or -a sounds seem different enough from the hard Er- and -k sounds. Are these names too similar to be paired?

Not at all, I don't think. I'm not a huge fan of the name Erik myself but they do go extremely well together. They're not same-y at all in my opinion. They just fit.

I think those are fine together.

I don't think they're too similar. I think you could get away with using these if you wanted to.

I love Eliza, by the way :)

My guilty pleasure sib-set is Eliza and Elijah, which is soooooo much worse.

Hahaha, I know, it would be awful. I just love both names. Not together, obviously. If I shortened Eliza to Liza and Elijah to Eli, it wouldn't be too bad, I don't think.

Sigh. Too bad I can't use both. Elijah is such a great nae.

I'd want to use it as a first name. Plus, I want to use family names and names that mean something to me for some reason as middle names.

I agree. They aren't too matchy...but I have no love of the name Erik.

They are, to me.
It feels like Erik is included in Elizabeth, although it isn't, but because it's short and it shares half its letters.
