My cousin is four months pregnant and, of course, I've been bugging her constantly about the name. Her father, who died eight years ago, was named Bennie Allen, and my cousin was considering Bennie Alynn if she has a girl. The baby's father wasn't very supportive of that idea, so my cousin decided last month that the same initials would work just as well, and thought maybe Brynn Alizabeth would do. I talked to her earlier and asked if that was definite, and she told me it's now between that or Brexton Shaey, having come to think that just the same FIRST initial would do. I've never heard the name Brexton before. Have you guys? My first thought was that Brexy would be kind of cute for a nickname, which she said she'd already decided she'd use if she went with that name.

Any thoughts? Preferences of the three?

I've never heard the name Brexton. And Alizabeth? Sounds like they're just making names up.. yeah I know the pronunciation of Alizabeth could be the same as Elizabeth, but that is the worst spelling of Elizabeth/Elisabeth I've ever seen! No offense to you or your cousin, but Brexton definitely sounds male and Brexy sounds like a dog's name.


A pretty girls' name I read in a book once was Alilen. WDYT? Might be neat since it's similar to Allen but more feminine.

Beatrice Alilen?

I like unusual names as much as the next person, but your cousin seems to be stretching as far as possible and losing sight of having a nice name.. just my opinion.

Beatrice is definitely not her style. She doesn't like the more old-fashioned, classic names, usually.

I'm pretty sure she'd be against Alilen from the offset due to the fact that it looks like a typo of "Alien."

Ah, sorry.. here choices seem somewhat old-timey, which is why I suggested Beatrice. Oh well, there's plenty of names out there, just some suggestions. Lol.. if she's worried about things looking silly, I'd definitely stay away from Brexton or Alizabeth. :P
