Jun. 15th, 2007 10:07 pmI work in child care in the nursery room and we got a new kid the other day named Noa (prn same as Noah). Noa was dressed in a blue shirt and jeans with black pumps. When I went to change Noa's nappy...surprise! Noa was a GIRL! I had been saying "good boy!" to her all morning! I felt so bad!
So what do you think about gender swapping names? Good? Bad? Don't care?

Date: 2007-06-15 08:57 pm (UTC)Its not always that us parents who get that constantly mean to be rude, but when it happens 1028347089127308473 times a day to the kid dressed VERY VERY EXPRESSLY boyish, it gets agrivating.
Finally, we shaved his head into a military cut. But the second his hair gets slightly long again, like, say pixie-cut length (not very long at all!), its back to the "what a pretty little girl!".
*sigh* (using very old icon so you can see what he looked like at that time)
