I work in child care in the nursery room and we got a new kid the other day named Noa (prn same as Noah). Noa was dressed in a blue shirt and jeans with black pumps. When I went to change Noa's nappy...surprise! Noa was a GIRL! I had been saying "good boy!" to her all morning! I felt so bad!

So what do you think about gender swapping names? Good? Bad? Don't care?

In a cartoon that we had on italian tv like 20 years ago (but which was, I guess, made in Japan, although not your typical jap anime or anything like that) there were two girls that were one the nemesis of the other and the sunny good one was called Bia (Bee-ah, and not a name anywhere I know) and the evil dark one was called Noa. That's actually the only context I'd heard Noa on a girl before.

p.s. Noa is also the name of a Cacharel perfume.
