Hey everyone. I'd love to hear what you all think of my favorite names. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Skylar (my newest favorite name...still not 100% sure on it though)

Also...Malaya is my favorite girls name by far and I have been thinking of middle names to go with it.

Malaya Elizabeth (My best friends name)
Malaya Jean (my grandmothers middle name)

Any other idea. I'm not sold on either one..and it doesn't have to be a family name....

I like it with the e too. I'm torn between the two honstly. its one of those names I just really discovered so I'm not too certain on spelling yet

Tighe --(pronounced like Tiger without the er) --he would have to explain his name to everyone, but it is unique
Shea --butter?
Austin --okay if Texas doesn't bother you
Cole --nice, but like it as a nickname, prefer a longer formal birth name
Jake --same as Cole, I don't like nicknames as real names. I think the child should be able to pick his nickname as an adult.
Stefan --not my taste

Malaya --sounds like Kayla, Mikayla, think it would be one of those names people never said correctly, like Elissa (Elise? Lisa? Elissa?)
Isabelle ---(Izzy as a nickname) Love, don't care if it's super popular

I second the 'Shea is a girl's name' comment. I like Cole & Jake a lot though. And I started to like Skylar/Skyler as well =)

Tighe - this is interesting but weird
Shea - I hate this name. It just sounds...ugly.
Austin - LOVE it. One of my top 5 boy names
Cole - love it. And i now a wonderful little baby named Cole Elliot. :)
Jake - It's ok. I have a weird thing about the Jacob from the Bible, so I don't love it.
Stefan - I like this name better than Stephan/Steven.

Malaya - meh. It sounds kind of like a pretty name and a disease.
Isabelle - I prefer Isabel, and I don't like Izzy.
Scarlett - Nice
Skylar - cute but kind of trendy
Zoe - Ugh. Perfect for a DOG.
Jaelynn - I don't like J names for the most part, and the only -lynn name I like begins with Kate.

Tighe -I really like this. Reminds me of Battlestar Galactica...
Shea -This name is on my list. I know a guy named Shea; I think it's a good boys name.
Austin -Not a big fan...
Cole -Like it. Reminds me of Charmed... ((I know, I watch too much tv.))
Jake -It's okay. I like it better than Jacob.
Stefan -This isn't that bad. But I don't like it as much as the others.

Zoe -This, I don't know about. I'm rather indifferent.
Jaelynn -I don't like this... it looks rather made-up. ((Which I'm okay with to a certain extent, but this just seems a little odd to me for some reason.))

Also, I like Malaya Jean. I've always thought that MJ is the cutest nickname, despite the Spiderman connection.

For what it's worth, I like Shea on a boy, though the one I know spells it Shay. I don't think it's too feminine or too common on girls.

let me explain my choices a bit more

Tighe is actually an Irish name..and I am Irish. I got it from my parents who considered it for my brother.

Shea - another name I got from my parents considered it for my brother (they actually ended up naming him Kevin though, after my Dad) Basically I'm from New York and we're huge Mets fans..and they play at Shea Stadium


Austin - my Dad's middle name

oh and Scarlett...i started liking that one because I have red hair, but never really wanted to pass down my name. Kind of a little tribute to the mommy hehe

and i do like Skylar/Skyler spent both ways. idk which i prefer yet

I only like Shea and Zoe. Isabelle is too popular. Jake and Cole are allright but nicknames, in my opinion.

I don't like Malaya at all. It reminds me of Malaysia and it sounds way too flimsy in my opinion, not a strong name at all.

Tighe (pronounced like Tiger without the er)- i have always LOVED this name, i think its so cool. since tadhg(the original spelling) would be impossible to pronounce in english i always thought of spelling it teig(e), but your spelling is definitely better. youre the first person ive seen post this name, that makes me happy! haha.
Shea-this is nice, seems kind of feminine to me though.

Cole- every cole ive ever met has been so nice, so i like the name.
Jake- i like it better than jacob
