Allan (Alan, Allen, Alen, Allyn)
Ashley (Ashlee, Ashleigh, Ashly, Ashli, Ashlea)
Are there any other seemingly superficial reasons you would choose not to name someone?

John/Jon - because of an Ex that I HATE
Sidney/Sydney (I love the name but HATE my father and this is his name)
Alexander/Alex - another Ex I cannot stand!
Melissa, Staci/Stacey, Dana - The names of the OTHER women..
plus the names are all too common for first names..

i wouldn't choose them, not soley because of the spelling options, but because my name is brittany and i've never been fond of kelly.
