My children are:

Sebastian Michael (middle name is a family name)
Othello Michael (middle name is a family name)
Maynard James (middle name is a family name)
and
Atreyu Orion

If I were to ever have a girl:

Kallisti AnnElise

I love the names Sebastian and Othello, but sorry, Maynard and Atreyu do nothing for me, although Maynard is better than Atreyu. I can't help but think the amount of people who are going to have trouble pronouncing that (it looks difficult but I know its not.) Did you name him after the band and Maynard after Tool?

I don't like Jupiter, and Naolin sounds like an ointment.

Your girls name is very pretty, as is the name Auryn. Is Auryn for a girl?

maynard james is the singer of tool, and james is his fathers first name..

atreyu is the child warrior in the never ending story. I call him "Trey". Orion (his middle name) is from a line in his fathers and my "song".

auryn would be for a girl...=-)

I totally forgot about Never Ending Story! That's a cool reason then. I think that as long as names have meanings behind them than everything is cool. Orion is a cute name, but it seems to be popular.

And i'm glad Auryn is for a girl because I personally don't think it would look right on a boy.

right.. Othello was named for his great grandpa... I used to call him Mellow Yellow Othello.. Since he was jaundiced and really yellow, and always laid back..

Michael is dad's middle name and Michelle is mine.. That is why Michael was used....

I like uncommon names. I was damned with a "normal" overly common name: Jennifer Michelle.

What's up with using the same middle name twice?

Absolutely NO on Naolin. It sounds too much like Nawlins and Katrina has already cornered the market on names related to that city.

Atreyu Orion? Jupiter? Why not just name it Alpha Centauri or Rigel Seven.

At least Othello is a good name, but only because, as has been mentioned, it happens to be a decent board game.

The other names are cool...Jupiter reminds of the song from The Cure "Jupiter Crash"- a song I love.

My husband is Indian and tradition where his family is to have the father's first name is the middle name of the children- no matter the sex of the children and the wife is to take his first name as her middle name.

i love your sons' names! especially atreyu, that's the name i picked for a son, should i ever have one, because of the neverending story. do you call him trey for short?
and i love sebastian i considered that too but it's a little hard for me to say. i mean, i can say it correctly, it just doesn't roll of my tongue easily, and i figure that might be important if my kid was named that.
maynard and othello are both great, too.

what is kallisti from? i'm not crazy about k names, but it looks like it has an interesting story behind it.
i like jupiter a lot. it's similar to juno and i love that name for a girl.

what nicknames do you use for sebastian? I like the name (although I am not wild about how popular it is becoming) but I can't come up with any becoming nicknames for it.... (I think Seb and Bas are pretty awful for a little boy)

I wanted to name my son Atreyu after the Never Ending Story but the other half veto'd it because of the band :( I was seriously in love with that kid when I was about 7 lol!
I liked Seb aswell, not Sebastian, just Seb. That got veto'd aswell because it was the name of a guy at the other half's work.
Love Tool but not keen on the name Maynard.
Love Othello but there is no way I'd ever be allowed to use it lol!

Seriously, if we ever have another boy we're screwed. The ONLY name we could agree on was Theo!
