What do you guys think about "matching" or related twin names?
Personally, I really like them as long as they're not TOO close. For instance, James and Jack would be waaay to close for me, but James and Jeremiah would be okay. Similarly, Hunter and Gunnar would be too theme-y but Hunter and Harrison I like okay. I'm even a LITTLE iffy on the same starting letter.

Right now, my favorite twin names for girls are Genevieve nicknamed Ginny and Juliette. I like that they both start with the same sound, but aren't spelled similarly.

My twin and I are Kelsey and Lacey, with the same "see" ending, but they sound so different that no one has noticed over the years except Mom and I. It worked out perfectly.

Rhyming names, whether real or nicknames, are absolutely horrid. Twins are so constantly lopped together that they wind up resenting any similarities between themselves; rhyming aggravates things. I knew a Tina and Gina and they absolutely despised each other and avoided each other, one becoming a conservative Christian and the other becoming a lesbian drug addict. Twins with different names altogether generally end up better, like Sabrina and Jacklyn or Nick and Will.

Twins should be regarded as regular siblings and should be named as such.
